“BEES” Best Ever Extraordinary Seniors
Established May, 2011
The Senior Adult Ministry of the “BEES” Committee was organized in early 2011 with the first “Swarm” held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. The “BEES” is an outreach ministry of FUMC for senior citizens 55 and older.
The first program (seen above) was presented by Joe Clark, a local bee keeper and member of FUMC. The entertainment was provided by the “Magnolia Dulcimers”. This was the first of many more BEES swarms to come.
Normally, the monthly swarm is scheduled for the 4th Wednesday at 11:45 with lunch served at noon and a program to follow. Lunch is usually furnished by our BEES committee and donations are used to fund local charities.
Occasionally a potluck is enjoyed and the schedule of the swarm changes. Watch the church bulletin, newsletter and Daily Corinthian for details of each month’s swarm.
